Kim Pham (L15A) is a Vietnamese-American multi-disciplinary artist born in Houston, Texas (1988). She works across several different mediums with a focus on collage. Her work is rooted in her lived experience with grief, bipolar disorder, and psychosis.

“I describe my work as an artist in two words:

PRIVILEGE & RESPONSIBILITY

It is a PRIVILEGE to have found profound healing from the darkest parts of grief and mental illness through the transformative power of art. And it is my RESPONSIBILITY to use that creativity, talent, and lived experience to create work that bears witness, builds lasting cultural capital, and leave a print that outlasts me.”

I came to art through survival, not ambition.
I did not choose this path. It chose me.
That is exactly why I cannot walk this path lightly.
